Backer Campaign Terms & Conditions

General Information:

Campaign Description: The OSPTD Backer Campaign is designed to provide ongoing support for the development and launch of “Operation Safe Place Tower Defense (OSPTD).” By backing this project, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Campaign Duration: This campaign will run continuously until the game is officially launched. New backers can join at any time during the campaign.

Funding Goals: While there is no single funding goal, certain milestones and stretch goals may be set throughout the campaign to fund specific features or enhancements.

Rewards and Delivery:

Reward Tiers: Backers will receive rewards based on their pledge tier, as outlined on the campaign page. Rewards may include digital items, in-game assets, physical merchandise, and exclusive access to certain game features.

Delivery Schedule: Rewards will be delivered according to the timelines specified for each tier. Some rewards will be available before the game’s release (e.g., alpha/beta access), while others will be delivered upon the game’s launch or during live updates.

Ongoing Rewards: Certain rewards, such as digital content or in-game assets, may be delivered in phases as the game reaches development milestones. Backers will be notified of these phases in advance.

Digital Rewards: All digital rewards, such as NFTs and in-game assets, will be delivered to backers through the provided platforms (e.g., wallets, email) as they become available.

Physical Rewards: Backers eligible for physical rewards must provide a valid mailing address. We are not responsible for incorrect or incomplete addresses. Additional shipping charges may apply for international backers.

NFT and Blockchain Rewards: All NFT-related rewards will be distributed through the Ethereum blockchain. Backers must have a compatible digital wallet to receive these assets.

Backer Responsibilities:

Accurate Information: Backers are responsible for providing accurate information, including digital wallet addresses and mailing addresses, to ensure proper delivery of rewards.

Timely Response: Backers must respond to any requests for information (e.g., shipping details) within a reasonable timeframe to ensure the timely delivery of rewards.

Customs and Duties: International backers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or additional charges incurred during the shipment of physical rewards.

Risk and Challenges:

Project Risks: Developing a video game is a complex process with inherent risks, including delays, changes in the game design, or unforeseen technical challenges. We will do our utmost to mitigate these risks and keep backers informed throughout the development process.

Refunds: Backer contributions are non-refundable. By pledging, you acknowledge that the project may evolve or change during development, and that rewards are subject to availability and change based on the development process.

Stretch Goals: The delivery of rewards tied to stretch goals is contingent on achieving those goals. If a stretch goal is not met, associated rewards may not be delivered.

Long-Term Campaign Dynamics:

Ongoing Engagement: Backers are encouraged to remain engaged throughout the campaign. Regular updates, community events, and additional reward opportunities will be provided to maintain momentum.

Milestones: As the game progresses, new milestones and stretch goals will be introduced. Backers will have the opportunity to increase their pledges to support these goals and receive additional rewards.

Continuous Access: Certain rewards, such as alpha/beta access, will be available at multiple stages of development, offering backers a continuous experience as the game evolves.

Changes to the Campaign:

Modifications: We reserve the right to modify the campaign details, including reward tiers, delivery timelines, and stretch goals, if necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated to backers.

Campaign Extensions: We may extend the campaign or introduce new phases as the game approaches its release date. Backers will be notified of any such changes in advance.

Intellectual Property:

Ownership: All intellectual property related to OSPTD, including but not limited to game assets, NFTs, artwork, and digital content, remains the sole property of the project creators.

Licensing: Backers are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the digital assets (e.g., NFTs) within the context of the game and as specified in the reward tiers.

Communication:

Updates: We will provide regular updates on the campaign’s progress through our website, campaign platform, and other communication channels. Backers are encouraged to follow these updates for the latest information.

Support: For any questions or concerns regarding your pledge, rewards, or the project, backers can contact us through the campaign messaging system or the provided support email.

Legal Disclaimers:

Jurisdiction: These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the project creators are based.

Limitation of Liability: The project creators are not liable for any damages, losses, or delays that may arise from participating in the campaign, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
